Ministry of Women and Child Development’s 16 Schemes you should know about

by Sutapa Sanyal

The Ministry of Women and Child Development (WCD) at the Government of India is the central guiding force for the implementation of nation-wide schemes for women and children.

These schemes range from educating the girl child, to preventing human trafficking, and even the Mahila Police Volunteers–a scheme that I highly encourage all of you to participate in!

These are some of the most well-thought out and comprehensively implemented schemes in the world, and I say that not just as a police officer, but as a citizen of India. Many other agencies like the UN agree with that fact too. Please take a look below and volunteer wherever you can. Any great change can only happen when all of us participate together!
